The STIHL FSA 400 is STIHL's first battery-powered clearing saw, designed for professional use in landscaping and grounds maintenance. It offers comparable power to the FS 411 C-EM petrol clearing saw, making it suitable for tough grass, plant growth, and small tree felling.

The following exceptions apply:
- AK System, AS System and AI Line cordless products aren't covered under warranty when used by professionals
- AP System machines, batteries and chargers - 2 year professional warranty
- Pressure washers - 2 year professional warranty or 3 year domestic warranty
