These gloves are built around dexterity for knot work, rope handling and general climbing grip — a glove too thick or stiff to move naturally with your hand actively works against you mid-climb. They are not rated as cut-resistant PPE and should never be treated as chainsaw protection, however tough the material feels.
Fingerless vs Full Finger
Fingerless gloves give the most direct feel for fine rope work and knot tying, at the cost of no protection on the fingertips themselves.
