The STEIN Defender Max V2 is a premium chainsaw protective safety boot designed for professional forestry workers, arborists and tree surgeons who demand maximum protection, durability and comfort in demanding outdoor environments. Class 2 chainsaw protection (24 m/s), certified to EN ISO 17249, gives a higher level of chainsaw cut resistance than standard Class 1 footwear.

Constructed from premium 2.5–2.6mm Perwanger leather, the Defender Max delivers exceptional durability and weather resistance while staying comfortable through long forestry days. A climate-regulating waterproof membrane keeps feet dry while letting moisture and heat escape. Underfoot, a Vibram TETON outsole with aggressive bi-directional lugs and an asymmetrical heel gives excellent traction on steep terrain, wet woodland floors and unstable ground. Safety features include a 200J steel toe cap, midsole penetration protection, and D3O side-impact protection combined with a full 360° rubber rand for added durability.
