Unlike conventional drum winches, the APW6000 uses a 76mm ribbed capstan drum, allowing the use of virtually unlimited rope lengths. This makes it ideal for long-distance pulling applications where standard drum capacity would be restrictive. The winch is designed for use with 12mm low-stretch double-braid polyester rope, providing excellent grip, smooth operation and consistent pulling performance.
Three selectable operating modes allow the operator to balance pulling speed with battery runtime. High Mode delivers rope speeds of up to 16 metres per minute, Medium Mode offers 13m/min, while Low Eco Mode reduces speed to 10m/min to maximise battery efficiency during extended jobs.
The APW6000 features a centrifugal clutch and overload protection to protect both the operator and machine under demanding conditions. A stainless-steel rope brake incorporates both a cam cleat and integrated throttle control, preventing unwanted rope movement while giving precise control throughout every pull.
