The MSA 260 C-O is an ALLPRO-exclusive saw. It will not operate with any existing STIHL AP System battery including the AP 200 S, AP 300 S or any other current AP battery. The ALLPRO AP 200 P or AP 300 P is required — no exceptions.

This is not a limitation but a design decision that delivers meaningful benefits. The ALLPRO AP 200 P's 40V tabless cell architecture provides 2.8 kW peak power — exactly matched to the saw's output — with Constant Power delivery throughout the full discharge cycle. Paired with the AL 1802 MO fast mobile outdoor charger, which charges the AP 200 P to 80% in 9 minutes, and the PS 2000 power station for site-level power without mains access, the MSA 260 C-O supports genuinely continuous professional workflows with minimal interruption. Operators can rotate two ALLPRO AP 200 P batteries with one AL 1802 MO charger and maintain near-continuous cutting throughout the working day.

Important Use Guidance

ALLPRO battery required — existing AP System batteries will not work. The MSA 260 C-O must be used with the ALLPRO AP 200 P or AP 300 P battery. Attempting to use any other STIHL AP System battery will not power the saw.

Professional chainsaw PPE is required for all use. Use of a chainsaw requires certified chainsaw protective trousers, chainsaw boots, a helmet system with face and hearing protection, and chainsaw gloves appropriate to the work type. Aerial use requires additional certified climbing PPE. The MSA 260 C-O is a professional-grade tool — it must only be operated by trained and competent users.
