How to Care

1. Maintain the factory bevel angle of approximately 25–30° using a fine-tooth axe file followed by a dual-grit sharpening stone.
2. Dry the axe head after use and apply a light coat of axe wax, boiled linseed oil or 3-in-1 maintenance oil to help prevent corrosion.
3. Treat the hickory handle periodically with natural linseed oil or axe wax to help prevent drying and splitting.
4. Store the axe in a cool, dry place with a suitable leather sheath fitted to protect the cutting edge.
5. Inspect the head and handle before each use to ensure the axe remains secure and in good working condition.
