Petrol vs Cordless KombiEngines
The petrol KM range (56-131) gives unlimited runtime for regular multi-tool use across a working day. The cordless KMA range (120 R-200 R) on the AP battery system suits lighter, quieter use where fuel mixing isn't wanted.
Matching Power Head to Attachments
Higher-powered engines in the range (KM 131, KMA 200 R) handle heavier attachments like brushcutter heads and pole saws more comfortably. Lighter engines suit hedge trimmer and edging attachments where less torque is needed.
MultiSystem vs Kombi Compatibility
The Stihl MM 56 runs on the separate MultiSystem attachment range rather than standard Kombi attachments — check attachment compatibility carefully before buying, as MultiSystem and KombiEngine attachments aren't interchangeable.
