View our complete range of friction cords and slings here at Gustharts. Our friction cords and slings are a must-have addition to any arborist’s climbing equipment kit as they offer a wide range of helpful features whilst working at a height. Many friction cords are durable and resist heat which can easily be generated if a climber conducts a rapid descent down a tree.
Our range of friction cords and slings come in a range of styles and have been made by leading manufacturers such as Arbpro and Yale. Our range includes kit assembly, split tails, eye to eye slings, prusik loops and friction cord per metre. Friction cords are made with tough material to be able to resist breakage and splitting when attached to other arborist climbing equipment. Here at Gustharts we supply friction cord by diameter offering 8mm, 9mm and 10mm. We have various eye to eye tails, known by climbing instructors as a ‘closed system’. With both ends attached to the connector instead of one hanging down loosely, friction is distributed more evenly through a knot that is less binding yet grabs quite strongly.
The friction cords and slings we supply here at Gustharts have been tried and tested to ensure that the quality of the material used to make them is durable, strong and long lasting. Friction cords are ideal to use when ascending and descending in and out of a tree and with them being heat resistant your descent down the tree will be safe, as these cords have been made to withstand friction.
Our range of friction cords and climbing slings should only be used by trained climbers who know and understand how to set up a safe and secure assembly of knots and loops. However if you require additional information as to what cord or sling from our collection would be best suited for you and your climbing, feel free to contact a member of our fully qualified friendly team.
