Why Choose the Edelrid TreeRex II?
Edelrid is a German climbing hardware manufacturer with a long history in life-safety equipment, and the TreeRex II's 3D Vent technology is a genuine differentiator from flat-padded competitors — the three-dimensional moulding distributes load across a larger surface area while creating airflow channels, reducing pressure points on long days. The Dyneema®-reinforced leg loops and wear-indicator webbing also mean you get an early, visible warning before a component becomes unsafe, rather than relying on visual inspection alone.
Certified Protection Explained
EN 813 is the European standard for sit harnesses used in work positioning and rope access. EN 358 covers work-positioning and restraint equipment. ANSI Z133 is the American standard for arboricultural operations, and ASTM F887-20 covers personal climbing equipment testing. The harness can also meet EN 361 fall-arrest requirements when combined with the separately sold Vector Chest X/Y.
