Arbpro Knee ascender with integrated recoil steel spring
Self advancing knee ascender. This device consists in a rope grab combined with a small cord and a snap activated by a self recoiling steel spring. On the bottom of GEMINI Knee a foot strap can be installed to help the climber advancing on a static line.
Unlike other similar products already on the market, GEMINI Knee features a very efficient spring made out of steel. This feature provides a strong and constant self advancing effect on a climbing line. Compared to other systems normally equipped with bungee materials textile or rubber made, GEMINI Knee offers enhanced performances combined with compact dimensions and easy storage. The strong recoil effect provided by the spring does not require the use of long and uncomfortable bungee slings that, sometimes, need to be placed over climber’s shoulder or neck to provide the necessary self advancing.
Gemini Knee is equipped with a locking lever interfering with rope grab’s locking cam. Users can decide to lock it to prevent accidental exit or open it to get climbing line out of locking cam quick and easy. GEMINI Knee is supplied with two lower straps: one with snap for boots with EZLoop ™ and one with adjustable loop for standard boots. Customer can install the appropriate one according to footwear in use.
