The RopeGuide system is designed to combine smooth climbing rope movement with excellent cambium protection. By reducing friction at the anchor point, it helps improve climbing efficiency while reducing damage to the tree.
Lightweight TunnelRing Design
The RopeGuide 2010 uses a TunnelRing rather than a traditional solid round ring. At roughly 50% of the weight of a fully round profile ring, it offers comparable stability while improving overall system safety and strength.
Rope & Ring Safety Combination
The rope is protected inside the TunnelRing, creating a clever strength relationship between rope and ring. The runner to the redirection pulley is supported both in the ring and in the rope loop, helping provide a high degree of load capacity and safety.
Wide Cambium Contact Surface
Instead of a flat belt or single rope, the contact surface is made from 8mm parallel-sewn double rope. This provides abrasion resistance, a wider contact area and strong tensile performance while helping reduce the tendency to kink.
Integrated Fender
A small fender behind the TunnelRing helps the ring straighten when the RopeGuide is pulled out of a tree crutch. This makes retrieval easier, especially through narrower branch unions.
Efficient Adjustment Mechanism
The RopeGuide 2010 features automatic blocking of the adjustment mechanism without slippage, minimal shifting under heavy load and improved release when pulled thanks to the effect of the release lever.
