The STIHL FUNCTION Active Leather Chainsaw Boots are a newly designed, entry-level boot built for private and professional chainsaw work. Offering a comfortable wide fit with generous padding, these boots combine dependable safety with all-day wear comfort—ideal for ground-based cutting, forestry maintenance, and estate or garden work.
Constructed from hardwearing cowhide suede and fitted with a waterproof, breathable membrane, the FUNCTION Active boots are designed to stay comfortable in wet or changeable conditions. The sole material wraps around the boot and over the toe for extra durability and wear resistance—perfect for brash, mud, and rough terrain.
Underfoot, a deep 5mm tread delivers excellent grip in wet or muddy environments, while a specially designed centre bar in the sole improves stability when stepping on branches or small trunks. The higher boot profile supports and protects the ankle across uneven ground, and a steel midsole increases puncture resistance. A steel toe cap helps the boot meet S3 protection requirements, and high-visibility orange and reflective trims improve visibility on site.
For chainsaw protection, these boots provide Class 1 cut protection (tested to a chain speed of 20 m/s) and are certified to EN 17249. They have also received the KWF Standard quality mark from Kuratorium für Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik e.V. Please note: no PPE can provide absolute protection—safe working practices are essential.
