The PETZL OXAN is a heavy-duty, high-strength steel carabiner meticulously engineered for demanding use in difficult environments. The oval, symmetrical shape of the OXAN allows for optimal loading of the carabiner when setting up anchors, connecting to metal structures, or integrating into complex systems. This shape helps distribute forces evenly, enhancing safety and efficiency.

For enhanced performance and safety, the OXAN can be connected to the CAPTIV positioning bar (sold separately). This accessory helps to favour loading of the carabiner along its major axis (its strongest orientation), effectively limiting the risk of it flipping, and ensuring it remains integrated with the connected device, creating a more stable and secure system.
