The STIHL HEXA Upgrade Kit is the perfect way to boost the performance and efficiency of your STIHL chainsaw. This kit includes everything you need to retrofit your chainsaw to the new HEXA cutting system, including two Rapid Hexa saw chains, a Hexa file, and a wooden file handle. Available in 4 different sizes.
The Rapid Hexa saw chain features a patented V-shaped cutting tooth and hexagonal file that deliver a 10% improvement in cutting performance and a much enhanced sharpening experience. The narrower kerf of the cutting tooth reduces friction and drag, while the 25° sharpening angle is ideal for diagonal felling cuts. The 60° V-shaped side plate angle makes it easy to achieve a high-quality cutting edge, and the less acute angle of the leading cutting corner makes the tooth less prone to wear and tear.
The Hexa file is specifically designed for sharpening Hexa saw chains. The lower 1/6th of the file is smooth, so there's no risk of accidentally grazing the file on the drive links. A top ridge makes it clear which orientation the file needs to be held, and because the Hexa system is so simple to use, a file guide is not necessary.
