The STIHL HLA 140 B Cordless Long-Reach Hedge Trimmer is a professional-grade AP System hedge trimmer built for landscapers, grounds maintenance teams and local authorities. With an overall length of 245 cm and a 60 cm (24") double-sided cutting blade, it is ideal for pruning and maintaining tall and wide hedges from the ground — even in noise-sensitive environments.
Powered by a 36 V STIHL AP System lithium-ion battery, the HLA 140 B delivers powerful, consistent cutting performance thanks to its high-efficiency EC motor. With rapid acceleration up to 4,000 rpm and three selectable speed levels (3,200 / 3,600 / 4,000 rpm), you can easily match blade speed to the task at hand. The ergonomic control handle allows speed adjustment without changing grip, improving efficiency and reducing fatigue during long working days.
The 60 cm laser-cut, diamond-ground, double-sided blades are friction-optimised for high cutting performance and extended battery runtime. The cutter head adjusts up to 145°, allowing precise trimming of hedge tops and sides at multiple angles. An anti-lock system automatically reverses the blade direction if jammed on thicker material, helping maintain workflow.
The head folds flat for transport, reducing overall length from 245 cm to 188 cm. Built with lightweight magnesium components for durability without excess weight, the HLA 140 B is IPX4 splash-water protected and suitable for use in wet conditions. When paired with the recommended AP 30 battery, it provides up to 125 minutes of runtime with excellent balance and comfort.
