The STIHL HLA 140 K-B Cordless Short-Shaft Long-Reach Hedge Trimmer is a professional-grade AP System hedge trimmer designed for landscapers, local authorities and grounds maintenance teams. With a total length of 214 cm and a 60 cm (24") double-sided cutting blade, this short-shaft version offers outstanding balance, precision and manoeuvrability when trimming tall and wide hedges in noise-sensitive environments.
Powered by a 36 V lithium-ion battery (AP System), the HLA 140 K-B delivers rapid acceleration up to 4,000 rpm via its high-efficiency EC motor. Three speed levels (3,200 / 3,600 / 4,000 rpm) can be adjusted easily using the ergonomic control handle, allowing you to optimise performance and extend battery runtime. When paired with the recommended AP 30 battery, it offers up to 125 minutes of working time.
The 145° adjustable cutter head allows precise cutting at multiple angles, while laser-cut, diamond-ground blades provide a clean finish and long-lasting sharpness. The anti-lock system automatically reverses the blade direction if jammed, helping clear thicker material quickly. The head folds flat to reduce transport length to 158 cm, and with IPX4 splash-water protection, the tool can be used reliably in wet conditions.
