The ISC Apex Rope Wrench Ascender builds on the legendary performance of the original ISC Rope Wrench, first introduced in 2013 and widely recognised for unlocking the full potential of Stationary Rope Technique (SRT) climbing. The APEX model enhances the proven design with improved functionality, faster adjustments and the exceptional engineering quality ISC is known for.
Designed for professional arborists and tree climbers, the APEX features a new adjustable cam system that allows users to quickly select between multiple friction settings depending on rope type and diameter. The spring-loaded cam adjustment system can be changed in seconds without tools — simply open the side plate, rotate the cam to the desired setting and close the device.
The device also incorporates a swing-open side frame which allows fast mid-line attachment, even when wearing gloves. A push-button opening mechanism combined with a double-lock closure system provides additional safety and gives an audible click when securely closed.
Another key advantage of the ISC Apex is the ability to change the tether without altering the friction setting, allowing climbers to quickly adjust their system without disrupting their setup.
