The ISC D4PRO Work/Rescue Descender is a professional rope access and rescue descender designed for users who want the proven performance of the standard ISC D4, but without an incorporated panic-brake function. Built for experienced rope access, rescue and belay users, the D4PRO provides smooth control, a broader operating “sweet spot” and reliable performance during demanding rope work.
Based on the popular ISC D4 Work/Rescue Descender platform, the D4PRO is particularly useful for longer descents and rescue or belay applications where qualified users may prefer a device without panic-brake engagement. It is fully certified to EN 12841:2024-C and meets the requirements of NFPA 1983.

The D4PRO has been developed in response to feedback from highly qualified rope access and rescue professionals who wanted the trusted D4 platform without a panic-brake function.
No Panic-Brake Function
Unlike the standard ISC D4 RP880 descender, the D4PRO does not incorporate a panic-brake. This makes it well suited to experienced operators who prefer a wider control range during longer descents, rescue systems and belay applications.
High Rated Load
The ISC D4PRO has a rated load of 240kg / 550lb, achieved without the need to add additional friction to the system.
Certified to EN 12841
The D4PRO is fully certified to EN 12841:2024-C. As a panic-brake is not compulsory under this standard, the D4PRO can be certified to EN 12841 without incorporating that feature.
Important ANSI Compatibility Note
Because the D4PRO does not include a panic-brake function, it cannot fully meet ANSI standards. If you require a descender that fully meets ANSI standards, please consider the ISC D4 Work/Rescue Descender RP880 with incorporated panic-brake.
