CE EN 813 is the European standard for sit harnesses used in work positioning and restraint systems. EN 813 is a work positioning standard, not a fall-arrest standard.

CE EN 358 is the European standard for work positioning belts and lanyards, covering harnesses and components used for work positioning and restraint. Together, EN 813 and EN 358 confirm the SEQUOIA meets the requirements for professional suspended work positioning in arboriculture. Important Use Guidance

This harness is certified for work positioning, not fall arrest. CE EN 813 and CE EN 358 are work positioning standards. The SEQUOIA is not rated as a fall-arrest harness (which would require EN 361). It must be used within an appropriate tree care climbing system and not as a primary protection against free falls from height without a separate fall-arrest system.

Measure before ordering. Take waist and leg measurements and check them against the size chart in the spec table before selecting a size. An incorrectly sized harness will not perform as intended and cannot be relied upon for safe suspension.

Inspect before every use. Check all webbing, buckles, stitching, attachment points and equipment loops before each session. Any sign of damage, fraying, deformation or chemical contamination should result in the harness being withdrawn from service.

Observe the Petzl service life guidelines. Petzl specifies a maximum 10-year service life from date of manufacture, and recommends retirement if the harness has been subjected to a fall, significant load or any event that may have compromised its integrity — regardless of visible condition.
